The first Bachelor programs of the Polimi-XJTU Joint School of Design and Innovation officially started on 5th September 2022.

The two programs of Architecture and Engineering-Industrial Design, which take place at Xi’an Jiaotong University’s iHarbour campus in Xi’an, have enrolled 117 and 119 students respectively.

The programs have been jointly designed by Politecnico di Milano and Xi’an Jiaotong University with a focus on innovation, interdisciplinarity, interculturality and are characterized by a rich workshops’ offer.

The involvment of Polimi professors, which started in the first semester, will increase during the years as general knowledge courses give way to more specialized ones, with the target of covering more than 1/3 of both the total number of courses and the number of core courses.

The continuous presence of Polimi professos in Xi’an will foster the development of joint research projects between the two universities.
