Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU) offers 2 scholarships for Polimi students interested in attending a Master of Science or PhD, starting from September 2022.  

The scholarship offered to candidates recommended by Polimi will be one of the two following scholarships:

• Chinese Government Scholarship (around 88800 RMB per person per year): free tuition, accommodation, medical insurance, monthly living allowance (3000 RMB for master, 3500 RMB for PhD)
• XJTU-Xi’an City Government Belt & Road Scholarship/XJTU SIYUAN International Student Scholarship (around 88000 RMB per person per year): free tuition, monthly living allowance (3500 RMB for master, 4500 RMB for PhD). Cost of accommodation and medical insurance are not included in the scholarship but can be covered by the monthly living allowance.

All the candidates are supposed to meet the following basic requirements:

• Non-Chinese citizen, be in good health both mentally and physically.
• Age and degree: be under the age of 35 with a bachelor degree for master candidate; be under the age of 40 with a master degree for PhD candidate. 
• Language: IELTS certificate with minimum score 6.5 or TOEFL with minimum score 90 for English taught programs; HSK band 5 test with minimum score 180 for Chinese taught programs
• Grade: GPA should be 3.5 (out of 4) and above. 

The candidates recommended by Polimi have to submit the application on XJTU website according to the following steps:

• Check detailed application information from our website Scholarships Programs for Postgraduate Studies 2022
• Log in to our online application system and complete their online application XJTU online application system (http://isso.xjtu.edu.cn/recruit/login)
• Add the name of your university in the recommendation institute column in our application system
• Polimi students are exempted from the application fee
