The second edition of the study tour for students in the Engineering-Industrial Design program at the XJTU-POLIMI Joint School took place from July 14th to 24th. Twenty-five students, accompanied by two XJTU professors, alternated between guided tours and an intensive workshop.

The students had the opportunity to explore engineering and design laboratories at the Lecco and Bovisa campuses and visit some of Milan’s most significant cultural institutions, including the Castiglioni Foundation, the Triennale di Milano, and the ADI Design Museum.

The four-day workshop, led by Professors Diego Scaccabarozzi and Mario Covarrubias, involved participants designing innovative products, creating prototypes using a 3D printer, and testing them in the measurement laboratory.

Hosted on the Lecco campus, the students were able to appreciate a small yet international city immersed in nature. Between dinners, lakeside strolls, and canoe trips, there was no shortage of moments of conviviality and relaxation.
