On 18 April 2022 the Chinese Ministry of Education (MOE) has officially approved the establishment of the POLIMI-XJTU Joint School of Design and Innovation.

The Joint School will start with the inauguration on September 2022 of two innovative Bachelor of Science Courses:

• Engineering-Industrial Design
• Architecture

The degree courses, respectively 4 and 5 years long, are exclusively aimed at Chinese students and will enroll every academic year 120 students each.

Lessons and laboratories will take place in Xi’an and for each course at least one third of the teachings and one third of the core teachings will be delivered by Politecnico di Milano professors.

The students who successfully complete the courses will be awarded of a both a Bachelor diploma from XJTU and a Bachelor diploma from Polimi.
