Pasquale Pometti

Electrical Engineering

Start travelling and exploring: it will open your mind and help you overcome prejudice and stereotyping. This is what I suggest in order to be always competitive in a globalized world.

After earning a double degree in Electrical Engineering from Polimi and Xi’an Jiaotong University in 2018, Pasquale moved to Shanghai for work.

For an Italian student spending one year in China is more challenging than living in the United States, South America or other European countries. The Chinese culture is so different from ours that it requires a big effort to understand and to adapt to your new environment. This was exactly the added value of the double degree program I have attended.

While living as a student in China I had the privilege to make friends with people from every continent sharing stories, experiences and emotions. I felt I had grown a lot, not only as a student but especially as a citizen of the world. After completing my degree I decided to start my working career in China, in Shanghai, where I have been living for 2 years now.

From September 12th 2016, the day I entered China for the first time, I have never stopped learning something new every single day.
