La collaborazione tra il Politecnico di Milano Xi’an Jiaotong University si concentra su aree di ricerca di rilevante impatto globale, suddivise nei seguenti ambiti:

  • Patrimonio, architettura e ingegneria del territorio: pianificazione urbanistica sostenibile, conservazione dei siti storici e del patrimonio storico e ambientale, smart city, smart building 
  • Energia pulita e ambiente: decarbonizzazone, tecnologie verdi, fonti rinnovabili, smart grid 

Joint Lab

Nel giugno 2024, Politecnico di Milano e Xi’an Jiaotong University hanno fondato, a Xi’an, il Sino-Italian Joint Laboratory for Sustainable Urban and Rural Heritage Conservation and Regeneration. L’obiettivo principale del laboratorio congiunto, approvato dal Ministero dell’Educazione Cinese, è sviluppare approcci innovativi per la tutela, la conservazione e la valorizzazione del patrimonio culturale, urbano e rurale in Cina.
