Double PhD Program for Polimi and XJTU students
Polimi and XJTU have signed a Double PhD program open to engineering, architecture, and design graduates from both universities.
How the program works?
The program lasts four years, during which participants prepare a thesis under the joint supervision of two supervisors, one from each university. PhD students generally divide their time equally between the two countries and must complete 50% of the required credits at each university.
The program concludes with the awarding of a PhD by both universities, subject to additional work beyond a standard PhD curriculum.

How to apply?
- Students from both universities consult the list of professors who are engaged in the Double PhD program.
- Interested students contact their respective professors at their university.
- The student and/or the professor contacts the coordinator at the other institution:

The student’s application will be assessed during a joint interview conducted by supervisor from both participating universities.
