On 7 April 2026, Xi’an Jiaotong University celebrated its 130th anniversary with a day dedicated to international exchange and dialogue, in which Politecnico di Milano also took part.
During the morning, the World Class University Expo brought together XJTU’s partner universities and offered students and families the opportunity to learn more about academic pathways and international collaboration opportunities, including those developed together with Politecnico di Milano.
Each partner university had its own information stand, where visitors could receive further details about the various academic and international opportunities available. At the Politecnico di Milano stand, interest focused in particular on the XJTU-POLIMI Joint School, as well as on opportunities for students interested in double degree programmes, exchange programmes, and degree programmes at Politecnico di Milano open to international students.
Among the highlights of the day, Professor Venanzio Arquilla gave a presentation on Politecnico di Milano, illustrating the University’s identity, its academic offer, and the many international opportunities available to students. The presentation focused in particular on exchange and double degree programmes, which are key tools for an increasingly open, international, and collaborative educational experience between leading academic institutions.
During the day, the XJTU-POLIMI Joint School was also presented, offering an overview of its structure, mission, and the value it represents within the cooperation between XJTU and Politecnico di Milano.
Politecnico di Milano’s participation in the celebrations for XJTU’s 130th anniversary once again confirmed the strength of the relationship between the two universities and the importance of a collaboration that continues to offer students new academic and international opportunities.
